(1)High light transmittance and uniform light Due to the characteristics of the load-bearing structure, the roof of the Venlo glass shed uses glass with high light transmittance as the lighting material, and special aluminum profiles are used as the roof beams, which greatly reduces the cross-sectional size of the roof beams. In addition, the roof purlins and connecting parts are eliminated, which reduces the light shielding of the entire roof system and greatly improves the light transmittance of the entire greenhouse.
(2)Great sealability of the greenhouse The Venlo-type glass greenhouse uses special aluminum alloy and matching rubber strips as glass inlay components, which greatly improves the sealing of the greenhouse. On the one hand, the good sealing ensures that the heat loss caused by convection of the greenhouse is greatly reduced. On the other hand, it provides conditions for good roof drainage. Therefore, Venlo greenhouses often use gutters with very small cross-sections and roofs on both sides of the gutter to form the roof drainage channel of the greenhouse, greatly improving the roof drainage efficiency.
(3)Large ventilation area The proportion of Venlo-type glass shed roof projection relative to the ground is higher. Compared with other types of greenhouses with the same span, it can have 2~4 pairs of roofs, that is, 2~4 ridges and gutters within each span. Therefore, when using spaced window opening, the same ventilation rate as other greenhouses with the same span can be achieved. When continuous window opening is used, the ventilation rate will be doubled. Generally, the ventilation area of the Venlo glass greenhouse can reach about 30% of the greenhouse floor area.
(4)The roof drainage efficiency is high Since the number of gutters in each span of the Vemlo glass greenhouse reaches 2 to 4, compared with other types of greenhouses with the same span, the catchment area of each gutter is reduced by 50% to 83%.
(5)Strong flexibility in use The application of truss roof joists gives Venlo glass greenhouses greater flexibility in use. Since the height of truss joists is 200~400mm, this provides sufficient installation space and support position for the installation of pioneering institutions, curtain pulling systems, crop suspension systems and some other equipment.
(6)The universality of components Due to the consistency of the Venlo-type glass shed roof unit and the similarity of node structure, it provides the greatest possibility for the standardization of components, thereby reducing the characteristics of large changes in components and large quantities caused by different greenhouse spans. On the one hand, it reduces the cost and management costs of greenhouse production, and also provides greater convenience for product after-sales service and maintenance.
(7)The greenhouse has a low height and strong load-bearing capacity. Due to the decrease in the height of the roof, the overall height of the greenhouse will be reduced accordingly without affecting the height of the indoor space of the greenhouse. Since the amount of wind load under the main structure of the greenhouse is directly related to the height of the greenhouse, reducing the height of the greenhouse is actually equivalent to reducing the wind load under the greenhouse, that is, under the same conditions, the ability of the Venlo-type glass greenhouse to carry wind load is improved.
